-Self motivation
Self-motivation is where an individual has their own passion to achieve and succeed without the help of others for motivation. This shows that the individual has the passion and determination to do work on their own. Employers find this a key element within individuals for successful employment.

-Determination
Determination is simply not giving up succeeding in tasks, rising to the challenge; employers look for this as it is one key element that they will look for.


-Independence
Showing employers you can work successfully completing tasks on your own. This is a key factor because if you rely on others to help you all the time or to repeat things it shows you lack organisational skills for instance in a class room of ten workers and all of them apart from you write down your task to complete, they have the information you don’t this means you will ask for help on completion of the task.

-Integrity
Integrity is one of the high key values that employers seek in the employees that they hire. It is the central part of a person who demonstrates sound moral and ethical principles at work. Example of integrity would to follow the company’s policies and boundary’s showing respect and the correct attitude towards everything.

-Tolerance
Tolerance in a workplace would to get on and do the work even with distractions i.e. a co-worker being disruptive or loud noises, tolerating something or someone would to be a very important skill in industry; employers will find this a high quality skill towards working for them.



-Dependability
Dependability is an important factor for a worker to have gained because it enhances a wide variety of job performance categories. A dependable employee not only shows up for work on time every day but also produces consistent work and can apply company policies and business strategies evenly to each task and assignment. Dependability can lead to job security,


-Problem Solving
Problem solving is where you would find the problem then identify the causes and gather information to how you would approach the errors for example a computer driver is missing to access a website you would see what the problem was write down any specific details gather up the information and then gain the website driver from a specific area and install it so you can continue.

-Leader ship skills
Would to use all of the personal traits on this document and apply it to a group or team this way you will work more effectively and productively in the environment of the workplace leader ship skills will help you in life and throughout jobs.

-Confidence
Confidence is about being certain of your own abilities, about having trust in people’s plans or the future. Showing you have confidence in your work is bound to impress, it’s like college or school handing in your homework and not sure whether too and going back home with it shows that you lack confidence.
General

- Planning and organisational skills
Planning and organisational skills are key when in a workplace, creating a schedule or to do list in an order will lead towards succession. Succession is vital this will insure that you meet deadlines at the correct times not having any overdrafts in work.


-Time management
Time management is simple managing your time will help you and others around you for example you need to have a spreadsheet done by tomorrow so Freddie can add his data to it if your late Freddie is sat there twiddling his thumbs and is rushed to complete the task once he receives the spreadsheet.

 -Team working
There is no “I” in “TEAM” remember that saying, team working is absolutely vital when it is required doing tasks it is easily fast effective and more productive than doing it on your own.



-Verbal and written communication skills
Verbal and written communication skills are very important for everyone a clear example is a teacher having to deliver clear words towards the students so no mumbling the written side would be writing on a board so it is clear no squiggles in words so all candidates can see what you are writing.



-Numeric skills and creativity

Numeric skills will be needed a lot when working in a bank dealing with spreadsheets, counting money to exact amounts. Creativity I would say you would see more in a design company of some description, working to the client’s needs and exact specifications but I would say you would see this in many jobs being creative with words for slogans and advertisement.

Specific Job related  

-Technical knowledge (hardware, software, security)
Technical knowledge is handy in most jobs that require a computer. Knowing these variables will help you understand any errors you encounter, knowing about what system your running will give you the sense of security that you can fix or repair any errors software related or hardware related, hardware is the internal components of your computer for instance your graphics card or your hard disk drives (HDD) there are many more component’s that will be in a pc; knowing this will benefit you for your own understanding but will show employer’s that you are interested and know what you are actually on about in terms of computing. Security is a big discussion employers like the fact knowing about security and protection, this could be from anti-virus to a secure server having this knowledge is very helpful towards employment.




-Working procedures and systems (health and safety, data protection, Company policies).
This section is very important, started in 1988 but implemented in 2000 is to give individuals a right of access to ‘personal data’. This personal data qualifies as any information held by a company that relates to an individual. Personal data is often collected when an individual completes the purchase of a good or service from a company. It can consist of contact, bank or any other necessary details needed to facilitate an exchange.

Health and safety in the work place is very important having no cables lying around making sure you know where all fire escapes are and fire extinguishers also making sure you know which fire extinguisher to use on what type of fire i.e. electrical fire would be the co2 fire extinguisher which would be the black banded canister.
